flag Bypassing the retention chat requires pasting a direct phrase repeatedly
The mandatory cancellation live chat features agents trained to ignore initial requests. Users succeed by continually pasting "Cancel my subscription, please." after every agent response, refusing to engage in small talk.
The Economist's terms do not allow this. It is here because people report doing it, not as a recommendation.
