flag New car owners can transfer older $99/3-year promos to brand new vehicles
By activating a $99 legacy promo on an old, inactive radio ID first, users can then contact support to successfully transfer that highly discounted 3-year contract to a brand new car.
Sirius XM's terms do not allow this. It is here because people report doing it, not as a recommendation.
What the source says
So I dug through my email, found the radio ID of my 2006 Acura that I sold 8 years ago, called up and activated that on the 3/99 deal. Worked like a charm. Then, a few days later, I went on chat and told them I'm selling the car and I want to transfer it https://www.reddit.com/r/siriusxm/comments/1ngu0qk/buy_3_a_month_for_…
We fetched each of these pages ourselves and checked the quotation is really on it. That proves somebody said it, not that it is true — read the source and decide.
